Two of Wands

Two of Wands

TWO OF WANDS (reversed): Leo, you may be feeling like you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. This is a card that indicates a person is sad, worried about the future, and maybe even dealing with a sense of loss. It’s a card that’s a mixture of disappointment and fear. Because this card is a two, there’s the element that things are too early to call, Leo, even if you are fearing the worst. This is a person who, in the upright position, may not be sure of exactly what’s on the horizon for them, but they have a sense of healthy, positive anticipation. Imagine that the same card in the reverse means a person who fears the worst, and you can understand that it’s just too early to even tell what the worst could be — if we were to think that negatively. You may have good reason to fear something right now, Leo, but that’s not going to do you any good.

I’m not going to sit here and write flowery things to simply blow smoke up your ass. Times are tough; situations aren’t always easy to navigate. But even if your situation is concerning, I guarantee you that worrying about it too much is going to be quite counterproductive. It’s not about spiritual things, it’s not about being not metaphysically good enough and blaming yourself for not manifesting a million dollars out of your behind.

Look, if you’re that good — if you can manifest cash from your bottom, you need to hire me. Right now! In fact, you should just send me the routing number and bank account where your paycheck is deposited and we’ll call it good. Oh, send me your mother’s maiden name; I use it when I’m meditating.

That’s all in good fun but you see my point? There’s no sense in beating yourself up because this isn’t your fault, it’s not your karma, it’s not because you aren’t zen enough, and it’s not because you are manifesting this. This is just life, it’s just the sum total of all the choices we’ve made, and there are other people who are part of the choices because they are part of the equation. If it would make you feel better I’d write you an entire history of what I’ve screwed up in my life — and how I’m not letting it define me! We live and learn, my friend, we live and learn. And all the while other people are…living and learning all around us! We may as well be exchanging body fluids the entire time, we’re so interconnected. But no — eew — never mind. You see my point? We are all in this together, affecting each other, and we are doing our damn best! And your best was your damn best and it’s good enough even if you don’t think so. I said so. Thus, it is so. Trust me, I’ll convince you even if I have to spoon feed you!

ADVICE: This is a TWO CARD, my friend, this is an early stage. So if you think that things are going that wrong, consider they haven’t had much time to become anything — wrong or right! You need to put aside your hopes for the outcome and focus on what you’re doing right now, with yourself. Think of it like this: even in the winter that is upon us, if we would like a veggie garden next year, we have to start planning the garden. It’s not going to just grow out of thin air no matter how good we think we are at visualizing. We need to decide where the garden should go, how much space we can manage, and what kind of veggies we wish to grow depending on where we live. Then, when we know what the options are, we can select what we’d like to grow. That’s the stage you are in, Leo. You are in the planning stage. You have an idea of how you want things to be. You may even think you know how you want it all to come about, the exact ways that you’d like your bounty to reach you. But if you learn to let go of some of that fear, that worry about the future, and just learn to go with the flow and gently navigate with the flow, you’ll see how much sooner things turn around for you.

Don’t let anything going on hurt your mind or haunt your sleep! The worst never really happens unless we constantly fear that’s what’s going to happen. Just let things work themselves out — you’ve learned to be responsible and realistic by now — and in the mean time, any plans that you do have right now need a look over and a rework. So, rather than worry about what you can’t help or work on, work on the things that you can actually take some proactive action on. It’s time to build a better garden, Leo! Even if what you plan to cultivate and grow are your personal dreams. Can’t make dreams reality without a real plan!
